About Iconic Images International

Iconic Images International, was established by Denis Glennon AO, AIPP and Master Photographer, Nick Melidonis AIPP, to link nature and knowledge, through the assimilation of photography, to the performing arts and the world of earth sciences, in collaboration with associates, partners and institutions around the world.

A dramatic image can change our perception and alter our understanding of a subject. This idea defines the focus of Iconic Images. The power of photographic storytelling can motivate individuals to make positive change.

Inspiring, conservation photography is a prevailing force for awakening our conscientiousness of nature, especially when such photography is paired with the collaboration of creative thinkers, committed individuals, corporations, scientists and policy makers.

Iconic Nature is Iconic Images’ first project to have a major focus on sustainibility.

Using powerful images it depicts why we should care about the hidden wonders in some of  Western Australia’s unique, and in some cases, threatened, areas of boidiversity.

The project, continually updated on  this website, has a clear focus on educational content, and extensive community involvement, throughout the State.

It is underpinned by the belief that the future of conservation in Western Australia will rely on private sector leaders engaging conservationists and government in strategic, forward-looking partnerships.

The use of conservation photography in the context of environmental stewardship can assist create and strengthen these partnerships

Iconic Images, and the project outcomes are the catalyst for a number of on-going Australian workshops, field trip and photographic exhibitions, featuring the best international photographers, National Geographic specialist photographers, and leading speakers in sustainability, to stimulate greater understanding of WA’s unique ecosystem wonders.
